Being successful in business requires a number of variables to fall into line, though many people can be successful without all of the variables—some of which are, luck, a good education, hard work, diligence, business acumen, creativity, etc. One thing that all successful executives have in common is that they have an extensive understanding of how their industry works and what service their company offers in that industry. It is a simple idea that too often goes overlooked by young professionals who simply think that a decent education and business acumen will get them to where they want—and maybe it will—but the path to success is made much harder when you do not have the necessary understanding of an industry, which is often facilitated by experience within that industry.

Danny Miremont is not one of the individuals who has neglected to learn how his industry works and what niche his company serves within that industry. Indeed, Miremont has had to learn the details of several industry. He started off in the construction industry where he worked for a major general contracting firm based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In his role at that firm he oversaw in excess of $30,000,000 worth of construction. He left that firm in order to become a senior officer at Compliance EnviroSystems, where he works now, a full service sanitation and storm sewer evaluation firm.
